A New Chapter for Lombia
There’s something magical about beginnings. Today, we’re beyond excited to share ours with you. We’re Isabel & Laura, the new partners behind Lombia+Co, and this relaunch marks the brand-new chapter of a company we love deeply.
Lombia has always been more than just a bag company. It’s a story of heritage, craftsmanship, and community — handwoven by Wayuu women artisans in Colombia and carried by women all over the world who believe in making their everyday colorful and meaningful.
When we stepped in as Lombia’s new partners a few months ago, we knew we weren’t just taking on a business — we were stepping into a tradition, a mission, and a community. And now, we’re so happy to bring you along on this journey.

Fresh Branding, Same Mission
If you’ve been following Lombia for a while, you’ll notice things look a little different. From new colors and visuals to refreshed packaging, our branding now reflects what Lombia has always stood for: joy, vibrancy, and handmade love.
But here’s the most important part: while the look has evolved, the heart has not changed. Lombia is still rooted in the same mission — working directly with 150+ Wayuu artisans in La Guajira, Colombia, to create fair trade, year-round opportunities for women.
Every single one of our Wayuu bags is 100% handmade, taking anywhere from 8 to 20 days to complete. Each crochet stitch carries a story, a tradition passed down from mother to daughter. This is what makes Lombia not just a brand, but a bridge between cultures: from artisan hands in La Guajira, Colombia to your everyday life, wherever in the world you may be.

A Relaunched Website, Designed for You
What’s new with Lombia? A lot — starting with our brand-new website experience.
We know shopping for handmade bags should feel as smooth and inspiring as carrying them. That’s why we’ve rebuilt our website to make browsing, discovering, and ordering your favorites easier than ever. Whether you’re a retail customer falling in love with your first Wayuu crossbody, or a wholesale partner looking to stock your store with ethical fashion, our new site is here to welcome you.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Simpler navigation → find Large, Medium, & Small bags at a glance.
- Wholesale-friendly features → wholesale buyers can now sign up and order instantly without waiting time
- Impact storytelling → learn more about the artisans & stories behind your bag.
Because Lombia isn’t just about what you buy — it’s about the connection you carry.
New Designs: Bags That Brighten Your Everyday
A relaunch wouldn’t be complete without fresh new designs — and we’re thrilled to introduce you to our latest creations, all inspired by sorbet shades, dreamy pastels, and timeless neutrals.
- Strap Updates→ Meet our fresh takes on Wayuu straps: adjustable straps that let you wear your bag long or short, depending on your vibe, and fringe straps that move with you — playful, dynamic, and oh-so Lombia.
- Mini Bags → Small but mighty, these crossbodies are perfect for everyday adventures. They hold just the essentials — phone, wallet, keys — in the happiest colors you’ve ever seen. Think: your favorite summer sorbet, but in bag form.
- Large Totes → For beach days, market strolls, or those times when you just need a little more room. Same handwoven craftsmanship, with extra space to carry your world.
- Fresh Colorways → From bold Barbie pinks to calming mint greens and earthy neutrals, our new palettes are designed to fit every mood and season.
Every piece remains 100% handmade using the traditional Wayuu crochet technique. No two bags are ever exactly alike — and that’s what makes them so special.

Women Supporting Women
At its core, Lombia is about women empowering women.
We’re two women working alongside Wayuu women artisans in La Guajira. Together, we’re building something that’s not just about bags, but about opportunity.
By choosing Lombia, you’re not just buying a crochet handbag. You’re helping provide:
-
Fair wages and year-round employment for Wayuu artisans.
-
Preservation of cultural heritage through traditional crochet.
-
Economic empowerment for women, which ripples out to families and communities.
This is what ethical fashion looks like: colorful, sustainable, handmade, and full of purpose.

What’s Next for Lombia
This relaunch is only the beginning. In the months ahead, we’ll continue introducing new collections, vibrant collaborations, and inspiring stories from our artisans & their communities.
We want Lombia to be more than a shop — we want it to be a community where every stitch carries meaning, every color sparks joy, and every bag connects you to something bigger.
